Following a specific input about Militant movement, the Government Forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Sheikhpora area of in Muran South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
On Sunday afternoon, the forces including 55 RR of Indian Army, 182 BN of CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Sheikhpora area, an Official told The Kaashmiriyat.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this locality and are conducting a search operation in the area.
Youth in large numbers hit the streets as soon as the search operation started.
The forces fired tear smoke shells and pellets to disperse the protesting youth, However, the clashes were going on.
