Higher Educational Institutes Can Open For Vaccinated Staff, Students But School To Remain Closed: Govt

Jammu Kashmir government on Sunday said that higher educational institutions can be permitted to commence with limited in-person teaching subject to cent percent vaccination of staff and students and specific permission of concerned Deputy Commissioners. However, as per a government order, all schools including coaching centers shall continue to remain closed for onsite and in-person teaching, till further orders. Government Reduces 40 per cent Syllabi for Private Students of 10-12th Classes

The Government on Friday decided to reduce the syllabi of private candidates of secondary and higher secondary classes of Jammu and Kashmir by forty percent following the closure of schools in view of COVID-19 pandemic. An 18-year-old Muslim girl named Rumana Sultana has obtained the highest marks in West Bengal Higher Secondary exams 2021. As per reports, Rumana has scored 498 out of 500 marks — 99 in Bengali, 100 in English, 100 in bioscience, 100 in chemistry, 99 in physics, and 100 in maths. Rumana wants to become a doctor and hopes to crack the medical entrance exam. Rumana, from Kandi Raja Manindra Chandra Girls’ High School from Murshidabad in West Bengal, comes from a family of teachers.
