20 Years After Its Construction- “School” Continues to be Open Air in Absence of a Proper Building

A Government school established almost 20 years ago in Udhampur’s Turga area is a reflection of Government’s seriousness about the ailing education sector in Jammu Kashmir as students studying in this are forced to study under open sky due to lack of adequate facilities, ANI reported.
The students in this institution have not been provided basic facilities by the government and are causing difficulties in their daily curriculum, since its establishment in 1999, also, the students are forced to study in the open in the absence of classrooms.
The Sarpanch, P Kumar appealing the intervention of the Governor said that a total of 50 students are enrolled in this school, but school building cannot accommodate them all.
