Families of Incarcerated Members of Student’s Islamic Movement of India Pens Letter to Organizations for Justice
The relatives of the 31 incarcerated members of the banned Student's Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), have written a letter to several Muslim organizations urging them to pay attention to the “inhuman and barbaric” treatment meted out to their kin allegedly by jail authorities.
The letter mentions abuse of physical and mental kind, slapping of false cases, denying of medical facilities, threats and mistreatment of visitors.
Among the 31 incarcerated Dr. Abu Faisal, Qamruddin , Kamran, Saduli PA and Shibily, have been on hunger strike in Central Jail Bhopal from last month , are surviving on saline water now. In October 2020, they did the same before being admitted to hospital due to deterioration of their health conditions.
