Danishwar Hameed A man died being struck by lightning in the Gunsaigam area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday afternoon, officials told The Kashmiriyat. The deceased has been identified as Tariq Ahmad Padder, son of Mohammad Shaban, a resident of Gunsaigam. Officials said the lightning struck during a sudden thunderstorm in the area, leaving Padder critically injured. He succumbed to his injuries shortly after. Local authorities have expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
