July 13 A Grenade was diffused on Friday by bomb disposal squad in Tral area of South kashmir. Sources told The kashmiriyat that a rusty Grenade was found in an orchard at Hayuna area of Tral near encounter site where three jaish militants were killed in an encounter last month. Locals after spotting grenade called police,accordingly bomb disposal squad rushed to the spot and diffused the grenade, a police official Said

July 08 An IED was detected by Jammu Kashmir police near Murran Chowk road area leading to village Sirnoo of Pulwama district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a joint party of  Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF defused the IED. The Jammu Kashmir Police has asked people to stay away from the place.

July 07 Tral area of south Kashmir has completely turned into a military garrison ahead of 2nd death anniversary of a Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani. At every main and sensitive points security forces have established checking points and every vehicle and pedestrian enroute to trak area is being checked, sources said. As per police sources all routes leading to tral will be closed in the evening and today non residents of Tral area will not be allowed to go towards tral area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unknown persons hurled a grenade inside the camp responding to which the alert sentry fired in some shots in the air. July 06 The preacher of a local mosque in Parigam area of South Kashmir's Pulwama was shot at by unidentified gunmen hours before his Friday sermon early morning today. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Mohammed Ashraf Thoker, an Imam of Masjid Hanfiya at Parigam Pulwama was shot at in his legs by the gunmen. Ashraf is a resident of Bijbehara and has been shifted to Srinagar for specialised treatment. The Jammu Kashmir Police has lodged an investigation into the incident and an investigation has been launched into the incident.
