CASO Launched in Arihal Pulwama, Clashes Erupt

June 29 Massive Clashes erupted in the Arihal area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Friday afternoon after Government Forces launched a cordon and Search Operation in the operation in the area. A Cordon and Search Operation had been launched in South Kashmir by Government forces including 55 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police. As Soon as the forces entered the area, the youth hit the streets in large numbers to which the forces responded by immense tear smoke shelling. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat said that the operation has been launched after an input was received about Militant presence in the area. Massive Clashes in Shopian Area

June 26 Clashes broke out between the Government forces and youth after Government forces launched a search operation in Ahagam area of Shopian district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that scores of the youth assembled and pelted stones on government forces to disrupt the CASO in the area. The Forces deployed in the area retaliated with tear gas shells to disperse the protesters. Pertinently Militants had attacked a patrolling party of 44RR near Army Goodwill school post which a  search operation was launched in the area. Heavy contingents of RR of Indian Army, SOG and CRPF have been deployed in the area and search operation is going on, sources said. Details Emerging.

Militants Attack Army Party in Shopian

June 29 Militants early morning on Thursday attacked a party of 44 RR in Ahagam area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that 44 RR of Indian Army was fired upon by suspected Militants near the Army goodwill schools in the area. The Forces have launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area to nab the attackers. As per initial reports nobody has been injured in the attack. No Encounter has been reported from the area as of yet as told by many news providers. Details Emerging.

June 28 The Government Forces following an input about Militant movement in the Hajin area of Pulwama have launched a cordon and Search Operation in the area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police have launched a massive search operation in the area near Hajin. A Door to door search operation has been initiated in the area after all the entry and exit points were sealed. Details Emerging.

Gunshots Heard During CASO in Kulgam

June 27 Gunshots were heard during cordon and search operation in Watoo area of South kashmir's Kulgam district. Sources said soon after government forces cordoned off the area few gunshots were heard  created panic in the area. Earlier government including RR and Police cordoned off the area after receiving specific inputs about the presence militants in the area. Search operation was going  on when this report  was filed. Sufi Saint Remembered in South Kashmir during Annual Urs

June 27 Thousands of devotees on Wednesday thronged the shrine of Sufi Saint, Hazrat Mir Amaan ullah Shah in Bidder Kokernag area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district and recited Quranic verses followed by ‘Duaiya Majlis’. The devotees during the annual commemoration prayed for long-lasting peace in Kashmir and sought peace, blessings and mercy from Almighty. They also prayed for the recovery of all the injured persons during encounter sites recently and sought salvation from pain, agony and miseries that people are undergoing in Valley. Grenade Attack in Pulwama

June 27 A Grenade was lobbed on Police station in South Kashmir's Pulwama on Wednesday night. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unidentified persons hurled a grenade on the POlice station. However nobody was injured in the attack, as per initial reports. The Forces present inside the police station fired aerial shots creating panic in the area, Locals told The Kashmiriyat. June 27 On Wednesday, the Government Forces have launched an Anti Militancy operation in Arwani area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district. The Cordon and Search operation was launched in the area following a tip off about Militant Movement in the area by Forces. RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police is jointly conducting the operation, Sources said adding that a search operation has begun in the area. Another cop joined militant ranks, Third this year from South Kashmir

June 27 A Special police officer namely Irfan Ahmed Dar resident of Nehama area of Pulwama who decamped with Ak 47 from Police station Pampore in South Kashmir where he was posted has joined militant ranks. He was not found at police station since yesterday evening at police station Pampore after which manhunt was launched in the area to trace the cop. However in a tele-statement to a news agency, the Hizb ul Mujahideen has confirmed that cop has joined them. This is third incident this year that a cop has joined ranks.
