February 12 Jammu Kashmir Ummat e Islami teams visited the families of slain Militants in Kulgam and Islamabad (anantnag) districts of South Kashmir. The party also paid tributes to Slain Pulwama Militant, Hilal Ahmed who was killed in encounter at Ratnipora Pulwama. Sikhs Open Doors for Stranded Kashmiri Passengers in Jammu, Provide Free Langar in Guruduwaras

February 12 The Sikh community in Jammu has once again won the hearts of millions of Kashmiris by opening the doors of Gurduwaras for stranded Kashmir passengers. They have arranged free food in Gurduwaras as sections of Local populace of Jammu continue to hold protest against the Kashmir passengers. February 12 The Joint Resistance Leadership on Tuesday called for a complete shutdown on February 13 and 14 when pleas on article 35-A are scheduled to be heard in the Supreme Court. The JRL comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik  said that people of Jammu Kashmir will forcefully resist every challenge by New Delhi to change the demography of the State. “Leadership is fully aware of the developments and is cautiously observing the situation and these tactics cannot deceive leadership or the people of Kashmir. Kashmir Highway Remains Shut for The Seventh Consecutive Day

February 12 The Srinagar-Jammu highway remained closed on seven consecutive day today, reports said. They said that even as the road remained blocked due to accumulated debris and intermittent shooting stones at T2, Maroog and Panthyal in Ramban- Banihal axis, the restoration work is going on. Pulwama Encounter Continues- 2 Troopers, 1 Militant Killed

February 12 One Army man, one paramilitary trooper and one Militant has been killed in the ongoing encounter at Ratnipora area in South Kashmir's Pulwama district. Kashmir’s Grand Mufti, Bashir ud Din Passes Away in Srinagar

February 12 The grand Mufti of Kashmir, Mufti Bashir ud Din passed away after a brief illness in Srinagar's Sher e Kashmir institute of Medical Sciences. Bashir ud Din, who was a staunch supporter of Kashmir's Freedom struggle fell ill the last week and was immediately referred to the SKIMS Hospital. A resident of Soura in Srinagar, Mufti Bashir spent the last days of his life in the hospital and kept helping the poor people even from the hospital bed. A family member confirming the death said, "My Great Uncle, the Grand Mufti of Kashmir, has just passed away. He was an incredible voice for the people of Kashmir and spent his life fighting for Kashmiri independence". The funeral prayers of Grand Mufti will be held at 3:30 pm at Khanqah e Moula in Srinagar.

An eyewitness who was also thrashed by the locals told The Kashmiriyat that the stranded passengers had been asked to gather near the Science college in Jammu from where they will be airlifted. February 11 Thousands of people on Monday are visiting the houses of slain Militants in Kulgam and Islamabad (anantnag) district to express solidarity with the families.
