A CRPF trooper died after a massive cardiac arrest Sopore area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Saturday. An official told KNO that a CRPF trooper who was on duty died of cardiac arrest early this morning and fell unconscious. He was rushed to the 177 BN headquarter Sopore from where he was shifted to Srinagar for specialised treatment. “However, he died at Srinagar hospital today afternoon,” he said. PDP Member, Waheed Para Released on Bail by NIA

Peoples Democratic Party Youth Wing President Waheed ur Rehaman Parra who was arrested by National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been released on bail by an NIA court in Jammu. An official was quoted saying Parra was taken to Jammu and produced before a designated NIA court in a case related to his alleged “close links” with Irfan Shafi Mir, who was earlier arrested along with Hizbul Mujahideen militant Naveed Babu and suspended Deputy Superintendent of Police Davinder Singh last year. A PDP leader also confirmed the release of PDP youth leader. Parra who won the District Development Committee polls recently was detained by the NIA in late november.
