Sirigufwara Encounter- 14 year old Boy succumbs to his injuries

June 23 Muzaffar Itoo Shahid Ahmed Hajam, a resident of Naid Mohallah in Sirhama area of South Kashmir's Islamabad District has succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS in Srinagar. Shahid, 14 studying in 9th class was injured during clahes near encounter site in Sirigufwara on Friday after being hit with a bullet in his head. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Shahid a son of Nazir Ahmed Hajam was in critical condition after he was injured. The doctors too had stated his condition to be critical. Shahid is the youngest among his siblings, another brother and two sisters.

Local Militant Arrested from Encounter Site, officials

June 23 Mohammed Ashraf Ganie A Local Militant identified as Shakoor Ganie has been arrested from the encounter site in Motalhama area of Quimoh in South Kashmir's Kulgam District. Officials confirmed to The kashmiriyat that Shakoor was caught alive while trying to escape the encounter site. He has been arrested by the Government Forces ridiculing the allegation of National Media that Shakoor Ganie surrendered. The official told The kashmiriyat that two Militants have been killed, however he said it is too early to confirm their identity. Sources meanwhile told The Kashmiriyat that Shakoor Ahmed dar- A known LeT commander and a foreign national has been killed the encounter that raged on Sunday afternoon.

Two Shakoors ‘Likely’ Killed in Kulgam Encounter

June 23 Shakoor Dar, one of the most wanted commanders in Kashmir who is from Czopath area in Qazigund area of South Kashmir is likely one of the militants killed in the gunfight that raged in Chadder, Motalhama Village of Kulgam. Shakoor had joined Lashkar e Taiba in 2016 October after the killing of Burhan Wani, but as per Police he had been an Active upper ground worker for Militants for a long. Local Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Shakoor Dar and Shakoor Ganie of Chadder, Motalhama has been killed in the encounter that started early morning after Government Forces were allegedly fired upon by Militants, however officials are yet to confirm anything. Kulgam Encounter- Mobile Internet Barred in Islamabad District now

June 23 Two Lashkar-e-Taiba militants have been reportedly killed in an encounter with Government forces in Chader, Matalham area of South kashmir's Kulgam district on Sunday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that one of the Militants is believed to be a top commander of Lashkar e Taiba. The encounter began on Sunday afternoon when Militants opened fire on a party of 1RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF, who were carrying out operations in the area. The Gunfire is still on and massive clashes that erupted near the encounter site have intensified as people are trying to make their way to the encounter site from the nearby areas. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that 1 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation. The Encounter started when Militants fired on a patrolling party of Government forces.
