House of Renowned Journalist Fahad Shah Attacked

July 11 The Government Forces on Saturday fired a tear gas shell inside the residence of Fahad Shah in Srinagar. He is the editor of The Kashmir Walla – an online news magazine – and writes for various international newspapers and magazines. “The shell hit the window, falling straight on the floor of the room, where we sit. 73 Local Militants Killed this Year, At Least 100 Joined

July 11 73 Local Militants have been killed since January this year. The forces also eliminated two militants in gunfight at Shopian district on Tuesday, taking the total numbers at 108, 23 Government Force personnel have also been killed during these operations. 2 Militants Likely Killed, Massive Gunfight Underway

July 10 Two Militants reportedly have been killed in the ongoing gunfight with Government Forces at Kundalan area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Intermittent firing is going on at Kundalan area of Shopian District in South Kashmir between Militants and Government forces where an encounter raged early morning on Tuesday. Massive Gunfight Breaks out in North Kashmir

July 08 An encounter has started between Militants and Government Forces in Khanpora Magam in Handwara area of North Kashmir's Kupwara District Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation. Clashes Erupt in Islamabad Area after Arrest of 2 Boys

July 08 Intesne Clashes erupted over the arrest of two boys in Damhal Khashipora area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District on Sunday. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that two boys were arrested after a minor stone throwing incident in the area earlier today. The Government Forces had earlier taken off the posters of Burhan Wani when youth came out on the streets to protest the removal of posters. The Forces later in large numbers patrolling the streets arrested two boys after which the locals came out on the streets. Shouting Pro Freedom and Anti Police slogans, came out on the streets and threw stones on the forces who in retaliation fired tear smoke shells on the protesting Locals.
