A 32-year-old woman was injured in a landmine blast along the Line of Control in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday, official sources said. They said the woman, Saleema Begum wife of Abdul Rasheed Khatana, was injured near Chrunda Uri. She has left foot injury and the incident happened while she was collecting woods from nearby forest area. After a lapse of 17 years, 100 bed maternity-cum-child care hospital in Kangan is nowhere near completion. An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the land for the hospital was identified in 2005 when the former chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad cleared work on the hospital with an estimated cost of Rs 27.66 crores. He said that a decade after identification of land, the foundation stone was laid during the National Conference-Congress coalition government in 2014. Mother-daughter dup died while a man was injured after a house collapsed due to a landslide in Bufliyaz village of Surankote area in Poonch district on Friday.
