Conductor dead, driver among 2 injured after JCB skids off road in Ganderbal

A conductor of JCB died while driver and another person were injured after it skidded off the road at Kokran Bridge on ZojiLa in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a JCB skidded off the road when it was coming from Kargil toward Sonamarg today afternoon. He said that in the incident driver identified as Arun singh of Punjab and its the conductor identified as Muneer Ahmad of Baramulla and the other person identified as Sajid Ahmad of Baramulla. Intelligence agencies have warned of attacks in Jammu Kashmir and said that Lashkar e Taiba is planning for attacks on non-locals, politicians, and ex-servicemen. According to a report by India Today, the Government forces have tracked the movement of a local militant and two Pakistanis in the Baramulla area of Jammu Kashmir who are likely to target political leaders, non locals and ex-servicemen. Three militants killed in Awantipora encounter, says Police

Suhail Dar Three militants have been killed during the encounter in the Awantipora area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district. An official told The Kashmiriyat that Jammu Kashmir Police, CRPF, and RR of the Indian Army laid a cordon and search operation in the Awantipora area following an input about militant presence in the area. Mentally unsound man loses both feet in train accident in central Kashmir

A 32-year-old “mentally unsound” man was seriously injured after being hit by a train around Mazhoom Pattan section in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday. Official sources told GNS that the man identified as Nazeer Ahmad Dar of Aarampora village of the area lost both of his feet in the incident.
