The former chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday said that Jammu Kashmir is not like any other state, where they (BJP) bulldoze the houses of Muslims. Pertinently, a school in Baramulla 'Dagger Parivar' run by a Pune -based NGO in collaboration with the Indian Army had allegedly asked teachers to not wear a hijab during the school hours. A driver was killed a vehicle he was driving was hit by a snow avalanche at Shaitan nallah. As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), officials said that a Tata mobile bearing number JK01Q-5635, was hit by a snow avalanche at Shaitan Nallah and the vehicle fell into the gorge. After four-month long closure, a hue and cry by locals in the last one week who were demanding the opening of road after completion of snow clearance operation, the Mughal Road connecting Poonch district with Shopian has finally been opened for movement of vehicles as the administration made an announcement in this regard. In yet another instance of displaying communal harmony, the Muslims in Lolab valley of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district Monday performed the last rites of an elderly deceased Pandit woman. Soon after the news about her death spread, the local Muslims started reaching her home to help the family in performing the last rites. A week after Towseef Ahmad Raina was removed from the post of President Municipal Council Baramulla after losing a non-confidence motion, at least six councilors on Tuesday joined Bhartiya Janata Party.
