May 28 Clashes erupted as hundreds of youth hit the streets of Kachwan and its adjoining areas in South Kashmir's Islamabad (anantnag) area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of youth hit the streets on Tuesday afternoon as gunshots reverberated in the area. Second Militant Killed in Kachwan Encounter- Search Operation Continues

May 28 Two Militants have been killed in the encounter between militants and Government forces at Kachwan area in Kokernag belt of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Officials told The Kashmiriyat  that a team of 19 RR,Jammu Kashmir Police was fired upon by Militants in the Kachwan area, after which the Army retaliated to the firing. The Forces retaliated and the exchange of fire in which two Militant have been killed, while the firing at the encounter site is still going on. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the firing started around 1330 PM is still going on. Meanwhile Internet Services have been snapped in Islamabad (anantnag) district of South Kashmir. May 28 Gunshots have been heard during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Kachwan area of Larnoo in Kokernag area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (anantnag) District. Reports reaching to The Kashmiriyat said that a joint team of Army 19 RR, and Special Operation Group (SOG) the area. A police Source Confirmed the incident and said that the cordon was launched following inputs about the Movement of some suspected militants. May 03 Suhail Dar The roadside vendors in the Islamabad (anantnag) township in South Kashmir have alleged that they were rounded up and thrashed by the officials of the Municipal committee of the Islamabad (anantnag) township. DC Islamabad (anantnag) Releases Financial Aid for Officials Injured in Kokernag Road Accident on Election Day

May 02 The Deputy Commissioner for Islamabad (anantnag), Khalid Jahangir has sanctioned Rs 320000 as financial assistance to persons who were injured in the road accidents on the polling day in the district on 23 April 2019 at Zalangam, Sagam and Buchoo area of Kokernag in this South Kashmir district. Three injured persons, as per an official press release, have been provided Rs 20,000 each and 26 other injured were given Rs 10,000 each out of Red Cross Fund for medical treatment.
