Weapon Snatching- Indian Army Gives Training to Bank Guards

ISLAMABAD
August 14 The Indian Army conducted firing practice and training for security guards of various banks at High Ground in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag). Officials told The Kashmiriyat that the training was given to the guards as there have been several instances of looting of banks by militants in South Kashmir region. They said that the conversations with bank pointed out at the fact that the guards employed for security are lacking courage, confidence and skills to react aptly during such situations. The Indian Army said that there is a need to give the guards of banks a practice of firing which would enhance their confidence and capabilities to react during any such incident. August 13 A Cordon and Search Operation has been launched in Movera area of Pahalgam in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District on Monday Night. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Government Forces including 3 RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir Police launched a joint Anti Militancy operation in the area following specific input about Militant presence in the area. Locals said that a heavy contingent of Forces have reached the area and are conducting a search operation in the area. The search operation was going on when this report was filed.

Police Seeks Help to Identify a Man in Islamabad

August 13 The Jammu Kashmir police in Islamabad (Anantnag) has sought the help of general public in the identification of an old aged man who was found unconscious at Jaglat Mandi Chowk of Islamabad. The man according to Jammu Kashmir Police was found lying unconscious near Janglat Mandi on Monday afternoon. The Police later took him to District Hospital in Jaglat Mandi for treatment where he is still unconscious and he has no identity card in his pocket. Road Accident in Islamabad (Anantnag)-1 Feared dead, 8 Injured

August 13 Suhail Dar One person is feared dead while eight others were injured after a passenger vehicle, Sumo met with an accident in Hatigam locality of Sirigufwara area in South Kashmir's Islamabad (anantnag) on Monday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a sumo rolled down into a rivulet in Hatigam resulting in death to one person and injuries to eight others.
