August 04 SSP of Jammu Kashmir Police for Islamabad (Anantnag) District, SDPO Pahalgam and SHO Pahalgam Shabir Ahmad were among the 20 Policeman injured in the intense stone throwing clashes that erupted in Yaned area of Pahalgam in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Thousands Gather in Pahalgam Area for Funeral of Local Militant

August 04 Thousands of grieving women and men have gathered in the Yenad area of South kashmir's Pahalgam in Islamabad (Anantnag) district as the rumours of a local Militant getting killed in Shopian Gunfight. Women and men in large numbers are marching towards Yenad as the news of killing of a local Militant Arif Ahmed Mir spread in the area. Islamabad Shuts on the First Anniversary of Local Militant, Yawar Nisar

August 04 The Islamabad (Anantnag) areas including Main town, Achabal, Dislgam have shut to mourn the killing of Yawar Nisar- a local Militant on his first anniversary on Saturday. Shops, Educational Institutes, Oil Stations have shut in the area to mourn the killing of the Local Militant who was killed on 04 August last year in an encounter with Government Forces. Yawar Nisar- the 21 year old had been a Militant for less than 20 days before he was trapped in a gun battle that raged in Kanelwan area of the district. The call for shutdown has been issued by the Mirwaiz of South Kashmir, Qazi Ahmed Yasir, who was taken into detention immediately after issuing a shutdown call.

Road Accident in Kokernag- 8 Injured

August 03 Sheikh Nadeem/ Waris Shah Eight persons were injured after two Alto cars rammed into each other at Dandipora area of Kokernag area in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District on Friday afternoon. August 03 SAMEER KASHMIRI In January this year government issued the closure orders to 16 brick kilns in district Islamabad (Anantnag) and the remaining of 53 manufacturing units have been working without ‘mandatory consent’ since. August 03 Suspected Militants hurled a Grenade on a Guard post of CRPF at SBI Lal chowk Branch in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) township. Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that suspected Militants on a bike hurled a grenade on CRPF post in the bank and fired a gunshot also. Weapon of bank Guard Snatched in Islamabad

August 02 Waris Shah Unknown persons overpowered a bank guard on Thursday afternoon and snatched his service rifle, sources told The Kashmiriyat. The guard deployed in a branch of Jammu Kashmir bank at Bul Bul Nowgam area was on duty when unknown youth appeared and overpowered him, snatching his 12 bore rifle. The Forces has reached the spot and have started a search operation to nab the attackers. Two Minors Go Missing from Kokernag- Family Seeks Help

August 02 Two Minor boys have gone missing from their native in Souf Shali area of Kokernag belt in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district since Thursday morning.
