Militants Offer Gun Salute to Bashir Lashkar on First Anniversary

July 01 Militants on Sunday night appeared in Soaf Sahli, the native village of Bashir Lashkar and fired shots in the air to offer gun salute to their slain commander. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a group of seven to eight Militants appeared in the area shouting slogans in favour of Bashir Lashkar at his native area in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. June 27 On Wednesday, the Government Forces have launched an Anti Militancy operation in Arwani area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district. The Cordon and Search operation was launched in the area following a tip off about Militant Movement in the area by Forces. Youth From Islamabad Town Joins Militancy

June 26 A Youth from Islamabad township of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district who had gone missing has posed with an Assault AK 47 Rifle. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the family of the youth had filed a missing report in the Islamabad Police station, which was confirmed by the Police officials. The youth identified as Burhan Ahmed Ganie aged 25 is a resident of SK Colony in Islamabad town outskirts and has a a physiotherapy degree. March 30 Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh Son of Late Sanaullah Sheikh, a resident of Katoo area in South Kashmir's Bijbehara Locality was shot dead by Unidentified Gunmen in late hours of Thursday. Residents said that around 8 pm, three masked men entered into the Shed Mushtaq resided in and shot him dead. Riyaz Ahmed, a cousin and neighbour of Muhstaq told The Kashmiriyat that the wife of Mushtaq pleaded before the gunmen to not kill them and after around 10 Minutes, we heard firing."
