2 OGWs Arrested in Islamabad

July 05 On Thursday, the Jammu Kashmir Police in Islamabad (Anantnag) Claimed to have arrested two Over Ground Workers of Militants in Islamabad district. The Police said that a joint patrol of Jammu Kashmir Police and 1st RR was laid down at Pazalpora-Uranhall Road Crossing and checking was conducted. During checking, two persons were arrested and one live grenade, one Chinese pistol (9mm) with 05 rounds and two bottles of Sodium Nitrate were recovered from their possession. July 01 A cordon and search operation has been launched by Government Forces in the native village of Bashir Lashkar at Soaf Shali Kokernag in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Ananatnag) district late night on Sunday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 19 RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police immediately laid cordon around the area after militants earlier offered Gunsalte to their slain colleague, Bashir Lshakar on his first death anniversary. July 01 Militants on Sunday night appeared in Soaf Sahli, the native village of Bashir Lashkar and fired shots in the air to offer gun salute to their slain commander. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a group of seven to eight Militants appeared in the area shouting slogans in favour of Bashir Lashkar at his native area in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District.
