February 24 Three Militants, Two Government Force personnel have been killed in an ongoing encounter that raged between militants and Government forces at Turigam area in  South Kashmir’s Kulgam District on Sunday afternoon. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that 34 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after reeving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area. Kulgam Encounter- Injured Army man Succumbs

February 24 The death toll in the ongoing Kulgam Encounter has reached four as an injured army man has succumbed to his injures. Earlier, 34 RR of Indian army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF had jointly launched an Anti Militancy operation in the area. During the gunfight, a Police official identified as Aman Thakur was killed and a major was injured along with two other soldiers of Indian Army. Among the injured soldiers, one succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. In the gunfight, two Militants have been also killed. Intense clashes also erupted around the encounter site between Youth and Government Forces, many youth also were injured. Meanwhile mobile Internet Service has been suspended in this South kashmir district.

February 16 Accusing the Indian Army of Vadalization on Friday night, the locals of Churath, Czogam in Qazigund area of South Kashmir said that the entire area is being threatened by the Army. Locals from the area told The Kashmiriyat that Army men around 8 pm, entered the Churath area and vandalized window panes and doors of more than twenty houses. Thousands Attend Funeral of 18 year old Militant in Kulgam

February 10 Amid intense sloganeering, Thousands of people thronged Quimoh area in Kulgam district of South Kashmir to attend the funeral of Parvez Ahmed (Hubaib). Eyewitnesses informed The Kashmiriyat that people from various parts of South Kashmir reached Quimoh to attend the funeral of the 18 year old slain. As soon as the body of slain reached his home, the army burst into intense pro independence and pro Pakistan slogans. 18 year old, Parvez had joined Militant ranks in July last year. At least Twenty Boys Arrested by Army In Kulgam’s Kelam

February 10 At least ten boys have been picked up by Government Forces during the clashes that are going on near the encounter site in Kulgam's Kelam area on South Kashmir.
