Weapon of bank Guard Snatched in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD
August 02 Waris Shah Unknown persons overpowered a bank guard on Thursday afternoon and snatched his service rifle, sources told The Kashmiriyat. The guard deployed in a branch of Jammu Kashmir bank at Bul Bul Nowgam area was on duty when unknown youth appeared and overpowered him, snatching his 12 bore rifle. The Forces has reached the spot and have started a search operation to nab the attackers. The Senior Superintendent of Jammu Kashmir Police, Altaf Ahmed Khan speaking to The Kashmiriyat confirmed the rifle snatching incident and said that Police has started a search operation to find the attackers.

Two Minors Go Missing from Kokernag- Family Seeks Help

August 02 Two Minor boys have gone missing from their native in Souf Shali area of Kokernag belt in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) district since Thursday morning. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that two minors identified as Yasir Shafi Mir son of Moahmmed Shafi Mir Age 12 Years and Faizan Ahmad Bhat son of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat  Aged 11 both residents of soaf shali in Kokernag went missing after they left for Darasgah at 6 am on Wednesday. August 01 A Spontaneous Shutdown started in Khudwani and Quimoh areas of Kulgam district in South Kashmir on Wednesday after Government Forces allegedly arrested 7 youths in the locality. Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that at least Seven college going youths were arrested near SKUAST Branch in Khudwani when they were on the way to home from college. Forces Thrash Another Civilian in Islamabad

August 01 The Government Forces on Wednesday assaulted a civilian identified as Arif Manzoor in Hangalgund of Kokernag area of South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the civilian who is the head of drivers Association in Hangalgund was picked up by a convoy of Indian Army from a sumo stand in Hangalgund. They alleged that he was later thrashed and found in the nearby Dandweth area of Koernag belt, but only after he had been mercilessly beaten by Indian Army. Gunmen Loot Cash from Quimoh Bank

August 31 Unknown Gunmen barged into a branch of State bank of India in Quimoh area in South Kashmir's Kulgam District on Wednesday afternoon and looted cash from there. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unknown gunmen decamped with cash from the SBI branch in Quimoh and fired aerial shots before running away from the spot. As per initial reports the Gunmen have looted at least 5 lakh INR from the Quimoh branch of SBI. The Jammu Kashmir Police has reached the spot and said that a group of six to eight Militants looted the cash at gunpoint.

Nocturnal Raids Continue in South Kashmir-2 More Arrested

August 01 Two Youth were arrested by Government Forces during a nocturnal raid at Seer in Tral division of South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that two youth identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed wani and Peer Mushtaq were arrested when Government Forces raided the Seer locality late night on Tuesday. The Forces detained the youth and told the locals that they were being detained for questioning. The Locals said that the youth have not been released as of yet.

August 01 Two Girls were kidnapped by unknown persons in a Skih Majority Village, Chittisinghpora in South Kashmir's Islamabad (Anantnag) District.
