The Kashmiriyat Impact- Salary of Kulgam Teachers Released, Toilet Renovation Begins at DC Office Kulgam

Within a day of our reporting on the issue of unhygienic toilets and impure water facilities inside the four- story luxurious building of the Mini Secretariat in Kulgam, the Assistant District Development Commissioner (ADDC) has ordered  work inside the toilets at the DC office complex in Kulgam.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat the ADDC Kulgam, Khawaja Nazir Ahmed said that the office has ordered for the maintenance and better facilities at the washrooms meant for general public adding that we will also avail water coolers inside the premises of DC office for the usage of General public within shortest time possible.

The General public visiting the DC office Kulgam thanked the officials for the ‘much needed’ initiative.

Responding to another news item carried by The Kashmiriyat, on July 28 about the pending salary of teaching faculty in Government Degree College in Kulgam District for the past four months, the Government has released the salary of the said teachers.

The teachers thanked the Government officials saying that they faced a very tough time as their salaries were not released from the past four months despite constant pleas.

The teachers had also said that despite their hard work, the Government is inconsiderate with their genuine demands after which The Kashmiriyat had raised the issue with the concerned officials.
