December 17 A Strict curfew has been re imposed in the Pulwama township of South Kashmir on Monday as a 'preventive' measure to thwart any kind of protest in the area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Government Forces in large numbers reached the township early morning on Monday and made the curfew announcements through loudspeakers asking people not to come out of their houses. Curfew Lifted From Pulwama- Intense Clashes erupt

December 16 Intense clashes have erupted in Prichoo and Chatapora areas of South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Sunday evening after a day long curfew was lifted from the Pulwama township. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of youth hit the streets of Chatpora and Prichoo streets and hurled stones on Government Forces, who retaliated with immense tear smoke shelling to disperse the protesters. Shouting Pro Independence and Anti India Slogans, the youth tried to march towards the main town of Pulwama, however the forces deployed in the main town Pulwama fired tear smoke shells and pellets at the youth, triggering clashes. The Clashes were going on when this report was filed.

December 15 Second civilian has been killed in clashes near encounter site in Pulwama as forces resorted to firing upon protesters on Saturday morning. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 25 year old, Abid Hussain Lone of Karimabad area in South Kashmir's Pulwama was hit with a bullet near the Encounter site in Pulwama. The people tried to take him to the hospital, however he succumbed on the way. Earlier another civilian identified as Amir Ahmad Palla, a resident of Ashmindar area of Pulwama, was killed in the firing of Forces.
