Firing Restarts at Encounter Site, 1 Body Recovered- Live Updates

December 15 An encounter has started between Militants and Government Forces in Kharpora area of Sirnoo in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District on Saturday morning. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55 RR of Indian Army, SOG of Police and  182, 183 BN of CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation. Earlier Forces had launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area upon receiving a specific input about presence of Militants in the Pulwama area. CASO Launched in Pampore Area

December  14 The Government Forces on Friday evening launched a cordon and search operation in Wuyen area of Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Friday, the forces including 50 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Green Colony of Wuyen area. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Pulwama locality and are conducting a massive search operation in the area. Man Arrested with IED in Pulwama

December 14 The Jammu Kashmir Police on Friday claimed to have arrested a man arrested with IED in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. The Jammu Kashmir Police said that, Police in Pulwama arrested one individual carrying explosives substances & IED adding that a Case has been registered against him and further investigation is in progress. Detailing the incident the Police said that a Joint patrol party of 55RR and Police intercepted a vehicle near Tumhaal area in South Kashmir's Pulwama District  and arrested an individual who was carrying IED in his car. 12th Class Student Dies in Road Accident at Awantipora

December 08 One Youth was killed after he was hit by a speedy tractor in Awantipora area of Pulwama district on Saturday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Raouf Ahmad Wani Son of Nazir Ahmad wani was has hit by unknown tractor at Irrigation Canal Awantipora resulting in his on spot death. The deceased was a resident of Pinglena Trich Pulwama aged 20 years and was a student of 12th class. The Dead body has been shifted to SDH Pampora for postmortem. December  04 A Photo of a 17 year old boy namely Mohsin Farooq son of Farooq Ahmad Shairgojri  who is a resident of Padgampora area of Awantipora in south Kashmir's Pulwama district has been circulated widely on social media. December 03 Suspected Militants on Monday opened fire upon a party of Government Forces at Jandwal area in South Kashmir's Pulwama District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that unknown gunmen travelling in a car when they were signalled by the Army to stop, however they did not stop. The Suspected militants travelling in the car opened fire on the troopers of 55 RR of Indian Army, who retaliated, leading to an exchange of fire.
