October 04 At least 30 Youth have been picked from the Pulwama District of South Kashmir ahead of the Urban Local Bodies Elections scheduled to start from 08 October. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that at thirty youth have been picked up during nocturnal raids conducted in Pulwama localities including Muran, Drabgam, Tral, Karimabad and Main town Pulwama. October 03 The Kashmir urban Local body polls have been worth watching as they happen amid high political drama and a massive unrest. Figures available to The Kashmiriyat have revealed that out of the total 634 Municipal wards in the valley, no candidate has filled Nomination papers for 177 municipal wards while a single candidate has filed nomination papers for 215 wards. The Voting for the ULB Polls will be conducted on the 8, 10, 13 and 16, of October, while the filing of nomination papers for the four-phase municipal polls has ended on Tuesday. September 27 Intense Stone throwing clashes erupted on Thursday in Dialgam area of Islamabad (Anantnag) district as the news of a local militant getting killed in an encounter spread in the area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that youth in large numbers shouting pro Freedom and pro Militancy slogans hurled stones on Forces passing through the area. The forces fired tear smoke shells on the protesters to disperse them, however the clashes were going on when this report was filed. September 23 One Militant has been reportedly killed in the ongoing encounter at  Ganie Gund in Aripal of Tral area in South Kashmir’s Pulwama  District on Sunday. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that 42 RR of Indian Army, SOG of Police and CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation. During the Cordon and Search Operation, The holed up Militants fired on the forces triggering a Gunfight.
