Militant Killing- Spontaneous Shutdown, Stone Throwing Clashes in Islamabad (Anantnag)

Intense Stone throwing clashes erupted on Thursday in Dialgam area of Islamabad (Anantnag) district as the news of a local militant getting killed in an encounter spread in the area.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that youth in large numbers shouting pro Freedom and pro Militancy slogans hurled stones on Forces passing through the area.

The forces fired tear smoke shells on the protesters to disperse them, however the clashes were going on when this report was filed.

Meanwhile in most parts of the District including the Islamabad township, people are observing a shutdown to protest the killing of a Local Militant.

Authorities have also suspended mobile internet throughout Southern Kashmir.
