CASO Launched In Shopian Area

June 30 A Cordon and search operation has been launched in Keshaw Zainapora area in Shopian District of South Kashmir on Sunday. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the 3 RR of Indian Army, 14 BN of CRPF and SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police have launched the operation jointly. The operation that was launched following a specific tip off about the presence of Militants in the area is still going on. Details emerging.

Massive Clashes in Shopian Area

June 26 Clashes broke out between the Government forces and youth after Government forces launched a search operation in Ahagam area of Shopian district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that scores of the youth assembled and pelted stones on government forces to disrupt the CASO in the area. The Forces deployed in the area retaliated with tear gas shells to disperse the protesters. Pertinently Militants had attacked a patrolling party of 44RR near Army Goodwill school post which a  search operation was launched in the area. Heavy contingents of RR of Indian Army, SOG and CRPF have been deployed in the area and search operation is going on, sources said. Details Emerging.

Militants Attack Army Party in Shopian

June 29 Militants early morning on Thursday attacked a party of 44 RR in Ahagam area of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that 44 RR of Indian Army was fired upon by suspected Militants near the Army goodwill schools in the area. The Forces have launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area to nab the attackers. As per initial reports nobody has been injured in the attack. No Encounter has been reported from the area as of yet as told by many news providers. Details Emerging.

June 27 The Government Forces following an input about Militant movement in the Mantribugh area of Shopian have launched a cordon and Search Operation in the area. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 34RR of Indian Army and Jammu Kashmir police have launched a massive search operation in Nanga check near Mantribugh. A Door to door search operation has been initiated in the area after all the entry and exit points were sealed. Details Emerging.
