Upon checking the dead body, the locals found an Identity card which revealed that the body was that of Amir Ahmed Malik son of Abdul Gafoor Malik, a resident of the Hydergund area of Zainapora area in Shopian. Man Commits Suicide in Shopian Kashmir

Meer Irfan A man has allegedly committed suicide in the Pinjoora area of Shopian in South Kashmir. An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Sunday morning, the family members of the person (name withheld) was found dead inside his house, after which his family rushed him to the hospital. Upon his arrival at the hospital, he was declared brought dead by the doctors, the official said, adding, "after the completion of medical and legal formalities, the body will be handed over to the family members for last rites." Locals said that he is survived by two minor children and a wife. Meanwhile, the police official said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in this regard and further investigation has been initiated.
