Massive Clashes erupted during a CASO launched in Tujar Shareef area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 22 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and 179 BN CRPF laid down the Search operation jointly.
“The Operation was launched after troopers received a specific input about Militant movement in the area,” Sources said.
Scores of youth hit the streets when the Anti Militancy operation was launched and threw stones on troops amid intense pro Freedom sloganeering.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the Forces fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters.
The Search operation and clashes were going on when this report was filed.
