Clashes, Shutdown in Islamabad (anantnag) Against Jammu Violence

Amid a complete shutdown in Islamabad township in South Kashmir, clashes have erupted between youth and Government Force personnel in the area.

Scores of youth shouting slogans against the Police for not doing enough for the security of Kashmiris in Jammu, the youth hit the streets near Lal chowk area.

However, as soon as the Police arrived on the spot, the youth hurled stones on them.

The Police in retaliation fired tear smoke shells on them, trying to disperse them.

A Local shopper who was observing strike speaking to The Kashmiriyat said, “We saw in the videos Police was accompanying those who torched vehicles, here they are shot dead and booked under PSA by the same Police.”

Jammu, on Friday dozens of Kashmiri vehicles were set ablaze by violent in the area.
