Tourist destinations like Pahalgam and Gulmarg saw the mercury dip to -4.3°C and -3.6°C, respectively.
Sonamarg recorded -3.5°C, and Shopian remained the coldest in the valley at -4.5°C. Bandipora also experienced a significant drop with a low of -4.3°C.
In the Jammu region, the plains remained warmer, with Jammu city recording 8.1°C and Kathua at 7.6°C.
However, higher altitudes like Banihal and Padder recorded sub-zero temperatures at -0.4°C and -7.2°C, respectively.
In Ladakh, Leh recorded a minimum of -9.6°C, continuing its streak of frigid winter nights.
The cold wave, accompanied by frost, has made commuting difficult in hilly areas.
Authorities have urged residents to exercise caution as temperatures are expected to remain low over the coming days.
