Congress holds workers’ convention in Uri

To discuss future political strategies and face-to-face meeting with ground zero workers of Congress, District Development Council member (DDC), member, Sunday held a high-level workers’ convention at Uri.

The convention was organised under the chairmanship of Senior Congress Leader, Former Cabinet minister, and DDC member of Parinpillan electoral constituency Mr. Taj Mohi-ud-din, at his residence Chandanwari, Uri. Senior leaders among a large number of workers from different areas of the constituency participated in the convention.

The convention was aimed to ask workers to visit everysingle area of the constituency and convey the Congress party’s agenda of development, peace and communal harmony.

Municipal Council Chairman Uri Shri Bharat Kumar, Block development council chairman Boniyar Bilal Ashiq Mir, among other senior leaders spoke on the occasion.

Speaking at the occasion Mr Taj Mohi Ud Din has asked the workers to caution the people in not falling prey to the divisive agenda of communal forces and elect a developmental, peaceloving and communal harmony supporting Congress party.

BDC Chairman Boniyar Bilal Ashiq Mir appreciated Taj Mohi ud Din for his dedication and commitment for the people of Boniyar and Uri.
