With a surge of more 1617 coronavirus cases on Wednesday, Jammu Kashmir recorded the highest single-day spike taking the number of positive cases to 47542, while as the death toll has rose to 832.
Officials told The Kashmiriyat that among the 1617 cases, 67 area travelers, the number includes 894 cases from Jammu and 723 from Kashmir Valley.
Pertinently this is the seventh day in a row now that the Jammu Kashmir has reported over 1000 covid-19 cases in 24 hours.
The official said that 260 cases were reported from Srinagar reported, Baramulla 85, Pulwama 37, Budgam 69, Anantnag 69, Bandipora 75, Kupwara 51, Kulgam 16, Shopian 23, Ganderbal 38, Jammu 583, Rajouri 71, Kathua 36, Udhampur 77, Samba 30, Ramban 18, Doda 31, Poonch 11, Reasi 28 and Kishtwar 9.
Jammu Kashmir has nearly 12839 Active coronavirus cases while as 33871 persons have recovered so far from the infection.
