Suspected militants shot dead a CRPF personnel in the Chek Sadipora area of Shopian district of South Kashmir.
Officials sources told The Kashmiriyat that a CRPF personnel identified as Mukhtar Ahmed Doie who was on leave was fired upon by suspected militants on Saturday evening, causing grievous injuries to him.
The CRPF personnel was shifted to the nearby hospital, however, he succumbed on the way to the hospital.
The CRPF personnel, Mukthar Ahmad Doie son of Jamal Din Doie, a resident of Check e Chotipora was on leave, as per initial reports.
