Srinagar, June 28th
Today a committee of Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) central body comprising of President Dr M. Y. Tak, Sr. Vice President, Dr Mohd Ashraf Mir and Vice President Dr Arshed H Trag met Founding members including Dr Khalid Parvez, Dr A. G Dar, Dr Sonaullah, Dr Javaid Zargar, Dr A. Rashid Para, Dr Arshed Ahmed and Dr Iqbal Fateh Khan at Srinagar to discuss important issues pertaining to Doctor fraternity.
The Meeting was held under the joint supervision of incumbent President Dr M. Y. Tak and Founder President, Dr Khalid Parvez. Many issues pertaining to Doctors Association Kashmir and medical fraternity were discussed.
Everybody in the meeting acknowledged that Present body contributed their best to get the demands of doctors fulfilled however circumstances were not conducive around including Sudden collapse of Government, Governors rule and post 5th August 2019 circumstances. But lot of local and divisional issues which cropped up during last 3 years were effectively addressed.
Doctors Association Kashmir had decided to announce elections which are due for last few months and got delayed due to Covid-19 2nd wave but it was suggested by Founding members and then unanimously decided to bring everybody on board including all doctors so that upcoming elections are held jointly and effectively to have larger impact on ground.
Another meeting between all stakeholders will be held in next 2 weeks, and we are hopeful that election commissioner as well as date for Elections will be announced in that meeting.
It was strongly felt that uniting our fraternity is of paramount priority at this juncture and all cadres are Invited to come forward and work for the growth of association and welfare of doctors fraternity. Soon we shall hear a strong unified voice audible to everyone around. All the doctors are invited to come forward and participate in DAK activities and forthcoming elections and nobody shall complain of not being involved in future in this regard
