Iqra Jan, the daughter of Mohammed Ayoub Khan of Beerwah Budgam who was one of the five arrested by Delhi Police on Monday morning has been shifted to a hospital in Budgam District.

The family members of Ayoub speaking to The Kashmiriyat over phone said that Iqra and other family members had been weeping since the news of the arrest of Ayoub reached them.
“She suddenly fell down unconscious due to excessive mourning for her father who is an innocent and has been framed by the Delhi Police,” a family member told The Kashmiriyat.
He said that Iqra was shifted to the nearby hospital, from where she was shifted to Sub-District hospital in Beerwah in Budgam Central Kashmir. Meanwhile hundreds of people have gathered at te residence of Ayoub to express solidarity with the family.
Dr. Javid Ganai, the block medical officer of Beerwah Budgam upon being contacted by The Kashmiriyat said that Iqra is stable and has underwent the initial checkups.
“It seems to be a case of psychological depression, she is undergoing more tests, but she is stable as of now,” he told The Kashmiriyat.
