Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Issues Weather Advisory

On Saturday, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam released a circular in the view of the forthcoming weather forecasting from 18 July – 21July, 2021.

Through this circular, the DC Office, Kulgam has addressed all the Tehsildars, Executive Engineer Flood Control Irrigation and the P.D.D, P.H.E, R&B Officials and the Executive Officers of MC Kulgam, Devsar, Frisal and Yaripora along with the Dy. SP SDRF, Kulgam and asked them to “maintain their headquarters and activate their departmental control rooms round the clock.”

The circular says that no officer related to District Disaster Management Plan shall leave the headquarter without obtaining written permission from the Deputy Commissioner.

“Any dereliction in this regard shall be viewed seriously and instant disciplinary action will follow against defaulting officer/official,” the notice warns.

All the officers have also been advised to remain connected through Whatsapp with the District Administration and also to attend to unforeseen challenges in observance of professionalism, courage and humane face.

It further says that the “Migratory/tribal population which normally put up their huts in higher reaches along nalas shall be warned about anticipated Flash Floods.”

The Concerned Tehsildars and SHOs have been advised to make it sure that the said population was made aware about the same.
