Diploma holders of civil engineering, alleged that they are being skipped in the ongoing job recruit policy by Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB).

As Jammu Kashmir Service Selection Board is advertising number of job posts for the unemployed youth of Jammu Kashmir, but at the same the diploma holders are expressed resentment over this move.

They alleged that their degree seems useless, as the government has failed to advertise the posts with regard to them.

A diploma holder in Civil Engineering, Omair Ahmad, told The Kashmiriyat that at least we are around 25 thousand in the valley.

” Recently, Jammu Kashmir Service Selection Board has advertised the posts for drafts men in J&K, frist they issued notification in which, the aspirants who have done draftsman course were eligible and we were also,” Omair said.

” But after few days they came up with another notification in which only candidates who have course in draftsman are eligible, and we civil engineering candidates were neglected in it, ” Omair told The Kashmiriyat over phone.

They said that the Board has also advertised posts for junior engineers which was a good sign for them . But, again it proves injustice to them, when they made B. Tech candidates eligible for it.

“We have written a letter to lieutenant Governor and JKSSB to intervene in this regard and show a transparency while framing job framing policy, they said.

They further said that neither they are eligible for draftsmen posts nor junior engineer posts, because their posts can easily take over by B tech students.

“Omair further said that if B. Tech students are made eligible for our junior engineer posts , why we are not eligible for draftsmen posts,” He questioned.

“If such rules will continue to exist in Kashmir, than our diploma is useless,” They said.

They warned the administration if their demands will go unnoticed. They will poured out onto the streets, Adding that either make them eligible for draftsmen posts, or remove out B. Tech candidates from junior engineer posts
