The controversial film The Kashmir Files, which was released last week, was granted a censor certificate without a single cut. The director of the film Vivek Agnihotri happens to be on the board of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Looking through Censor Board/CBFC files, one thing stood out glaringly:
Movie #KashmirFiles was granted a CBFC/Censor certificate WITHOUT A SINGLE CUT.
This is unprecedented.
But then here's the catch:

TMC Spokesperson Saket Gokhale, on Saturday, took to Twitter and said, “The pain of Kashmiri Pandits has been shamelessly used to spread hate, create polarization, & make crores – only to further the BJP’s agenda.”
Combine this with tax breaks given to the film by several BJP states with many states also giving leaves to govt employees to watch the film.
This film is pure surrogate propaganda sponsored by the BJP & Modi govt.
Pain of KPs has been shamelessly used to spread hate & make $$$

It is pertinent to mention that the film, which has been widely promoted by the Hindu right wing regime, its leaders and supporters alike for casting light on suffering of the Kashmiri pandits, has been massively criticised for depicting half truths and promoting hatred towards Muslims.
Since the film has been released in cinemas, several videos have been circulated all over social media depicting cinema goers instigating audience to ‘exterminate’ Muslims after watching the film.
The film has been endorsed by the PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. In many BJP ruled states like UP, Tripura, Goa, Haryana, Gujarat and Uttarakhand, the film has been declared tax-free.
Meanwhile, the director of the film Vivek Agnihotri was recently provided with Y security across India by the Central Government.
