On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohi- ud-din Bhat, Kulgam administration today launched Aalow App, an initiative to help people of the district in real time in case of emergencies like fire/natural calamities/PDD, flood control etc.
“Emergency situations can be stressful, dangerous and upsetting but if one is prepared anyone can deal with the unexpected in a better way, Aalow App is a move to enable district administration to help people more effectively at the time of emergency”
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC Aijaz Ahmad said that this app will be very helpful for people during emergency, an initiative of district Kulgam to automate/digitize the process of disaster management processes under SDRF/NDRF.
He said, Aalow application will help the general public get the required relief in a very quick and transparent manner and by digitizing the processes it will help the administration to dispose of the cases in a very efficient manner. Aalow will be available to the public as soon as possible.
“In today’s highly connected world, leveraging mobile technology for emergency response simply makes sense. The people most likely take their smart phones or tablets nearly everywhere they go. During an emergency, these devices are the first place they look for information, making these an ideal fit for crisis reporting in a hassle-free manner.”
For this reason, the district administration Kulgam took an initiative to launch Aalow-that streamlines communications during emergency by pushing notifications directly to concerned officers mobile device/accounts with the most relevant, up-to-date information like authenticated information, photo and location, thus enables concerned department to react accordingly.
