A few kilometers from sub- district Kangan – Wangath, people in the Dogapathi village of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district are living a miserable life due to lack of proper road connectivity in the area
Locals told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that in absence of the road connectivity, the inhabitants of village Dogapath wanagth, situated in the upper reaches of Kangan, are forced to walk 2 to 3 km by foot to reach Kangan -Wangath road.
“There is no road to our village. We have to walk several kilometers to Wangath main market for everything. People are forced to bring essentials on their shoulders from the main Wangath up to their homes,” they said.

Arif Kalas, a local resident said that the ailing patients and expecting mothers are taken to Wangath on stretchers.
“Life of locals in the area remains paralyzed during the rainy season as the muddy road creates extreme problems, especially slippery roads,” Arif said.
