Ismat Siddiqui, the mother of Dr Aafia Siddiqui jailed in a US prison, died on Saturday.
A spokesperson for the Aafia Movement Pakistan, Mohammed Ayub, was quoted by Dawn newspaper as saying, that the 80 year old was suffering from kidney and breathing problems.
Her funeral prayers were offered at a local mosque in Gulshan-i-Iqbal.
