The Jammu Kashmir Police arrested a drug peddler in the Anantnag district of South Kashmir on Sunday afternoon.
in a press statement, the Police said that continuing its drive against drug menace in District Anantnag, today on a specific information Police Party from Police Station Anantnag along with IC Police Post Genral Bus Stand established a Naka at Khanbal.
They said that during the Nakka checking one person namely Aasif Ahmad Bhat S/o Ghulam Ahmad Bhat Resident of Seepan Khanbal was arrested along with 400 grams of Charas.
Accordingly Case FIR No. 70/202 section 8/20 NDPS Act have been registered in Police Station Anantnag and investigation has been taken up.
Anantnag Police once again appeals the people of the District to come forward with the information regarding anti-social elements in their vicinity.
