Earthquake of magnitude 5.6 shakes Jammu Kashmir

A Mild earthquake was felt across the Kashmir valley on Saturday evening, locals from various areas confirmed to The Kashmiriyat.

As per initial reports, the earthquake was felt in various parts of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan with a magnitude of 5.6 on the Richter scale.

The epicenter of the quake was Shangla kn Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of Pakistan and was felt around 9:31 P.M. in the region.

Earlier an earthquake of magnitude of 4.7 was felt in Jammu Kashmir early on Saturday morning.

No major damage has been reported from anywhere, as per the reports received by The Kashmiriyat.
