The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday morning conducted raids at the houses of officicials and Journalists working with the Delhi-based independent media portal, Newsclick, the wire reported.
The Wire quoted officials from the organiation saying that the houses of the owner Prabir Purkayastha and editor Pranjal were raided by the Enforcement Directorate.
The ED has said that the raids were conducted on NewsClick after an alleged money laundering case. “The agency is probing funding the organisation had received from “dubious companies” abroad,” the report added.
Anchor Abhisar Sharma, who hosts two YouTube programmes for NewsClick, also confirmed the raid on Twitter.
In his twitter post, Abhisar wrote, “ED raid at Newsclick.in ‘s office & Directors/Shareholders home since 10am this morning. @newsclickin, This is where I do my shows Bol ke lab aazaad hain tere and Newschakra.

Pertinently Newclick in the recent past has carried out exclusive features from the Kashmir valley and also reported inclusively on issues concerning human rights in the Kashmir valley.
