Eid Prayers at 9:30 in Srinagar Eid Gah; In Eid Gah Anantnag at 8 AM

Anjuman-e-Auqaf Jamia Masjid (AAJ) Srinagar has announced that “as per the Islamic tradition” Eid-ul-Fitr prayers would be offered at the historic Eidgah in Srinagar at 9:30 am.

The Anjuman urged the people to participate in the Ijtima in large numbers to express unity and maintain discipline.

“In case of Rain or bad weather Eid namaaz will be offered at historic Jamia Masjid. The timings for Namaaz will remain the same,” Anjuman said.

Meanwhile the Jamia Masjid Committee in Anantnag has announced the timing for Eid prayers and said Eid -ul Fitr prayers will be offered at 8 AM in the Eig Gah of Anantnag.

“The Tableeg shall begin at 7 AM and the prayers shall be offered at 8 AM at Eid Gah Janglat Mandi. People from nearby areas are requested to participate the largest congregation expected in Anantnag district,” the Jamia Masjid committee said.

A separate arrangement has been made for female devotees, they said, adding, “People should bring their prayer mats along.”

In case of turbulent weather, the prayers will be offered at Markazi Jamia Masjid Anantnag at 8:30 AM.

The committee has asked the older persons and younger children to wear Covid masks throughout the time of their stay at Eid Gah.

Separate arrangement has been made for female devotees, they said, adding, “People should bring their prayer mats along.”
