A 55-year-old man was injured after he was attacked by a bear in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thursday evening.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the man identified as Mohammad Maqbool Dar (55) of Nusipora Keegam was attacked by bear in Haaji Check Keegam area of the district.
He said the man received injuries and was rushed to district hospital Pulwama for treatment, where his condition is said to be stable.
Meanwhile, a team of Wildlife department has been rushed to the spot to trace the animal and people have been advised to avoid venturing out unnecessarily—(KNO)
