An encounter has started between militants and Government forces in the Nawapora, Mir Bazar area in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday a joint group of RR, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about militant presence in Nowpora area of Kulgam, launched a cordon and search operation.
As per locals, intermittent exchange of gunfire is going on at the site of the encounter.
