An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Nadigam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A Police official said that on Tuesday morning RR of the Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the Shopian area.
During the cordon, the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.
As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat two to three militants were trapped in the area.
