An encounter broke out between security forces and militants in Kujjar area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a joint team of police, Army, and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of militants launched a search operation in the area.
They said that as the joint forces intensified searches towards the suspected spot, hiding militants fired upon the party, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
Police in a post on X while confirming the news said that “Encounter has started at Kujjar area of Kulgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.
